Australians are extremely house proud and a part of this is our love of renovation TV shows. Yet, while we are inundated with lifestyle programs that give us so many ideas, plans and inspiration, most of us find it hard to imagine what a new dream Kitchen or Bathroom would look like. Our idea for client Smarter Kitchens & Bathrooms was to create an immersive digital experience for prospects to walk around in their own home and experience their new kitchen or bathroom entirely though a set of virtual reality goggles.

As a provider of high-end kitchen and bathroom renovations their business model had been built around showroom engagement, however COVID resulted in the closure of their showroom and the inability for design consultants to visit prospects in their homes. So we developed an alternative. This was done by designing a new digital ecosystem for the brand that included a virtual assistant and a revised online experience. Using the information gathered, Smarter were then able to create a bespoke 3D design for the customer. The design was then uploaded into the Smarter Design app, and a set of VR goggles sent directly to the customer’s home. This resulted in lots of online customers turning into real-world customers.
